Membuat Aplikasi Blackberry Launcher

Beberapa hari lalu, ada yang meminta saya untuk membuat aplikasi blackberry, agar website:xxxxxx.com mudah untuk diakases seperti layaknya kompas.com atau detik.com. Saya tahu aplikasi spt ini tidak mudah dan saya sendiri tidak memiliki master untuk aplikasi blakcberry. Ketika saya mengajukan harga, orang tersebut terkejut. Kok bisa semahal itu? Orang tersebut mejelaskan di Internet (sambil menunjukan alamatnya) jika dia bisa mendapat aplikasi Blackberry seharga semangka tanpa biji seberat 2kg.

Using LWUIT Example

JQuery set to tackle mobile Web development

LONDON–Countless developers use jQuery software tools today to provide advanced Web sites and to ease the difficulties of spanning multiple browsers.

Starting in about two weeks, though, they will start being able to extend their reach to the fast-growing world of the mobile Web as well. That’s when Mozilla plans to release the alpha version of jQuery Mobile, jQuery founder John Resig told attendees of the Future of Web Apps conference here Tuesday.

Facebook-Skype deal must go beyond voice chat

The last couple of weeks have been busy ones for news about Facebook. "The Social Network" movie hit theaters, CEO Mark Zuckerberg donated $100 million on Oprah and, if rumors are correct, the world's biggest social-networking site will be partnering with online phone service Skype to help you chat with your Facebook friends through the site.

According to All Things D's Kara Swisher, Facebook and Skype are about to announce a partnership that includes "integration of SMS, voice chat and Facebook Connect."
It's not clear exactly what this deal would entail, but possibilities include Facebook Chat over a browser to cell phones, and video chat among Facebook friends.
The question is: Do people actually want to interact with their Facebook friends on a more intimate level?

Facebook up after second outage in two days

Facebook was down for many users for several hours Thursday, the second day in a row access to the site was hampered.

"Today we experienced technical difficulties causing the site to be unavailable for a number of users," a spokeswoman said in an email. "The issue has been resolved and everyone should now have access to Facebook. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The problem started early Thursday afternoon and was resolved by about 5:30 p.m. ET.
The spokeswoman said the issue was not related to the one from Wednesday, when problems with a third-party network provider shut the site down, or slowed it badly, for several hours. She didn't elaborate on the nature of Thursday's outage.

Putting thousands of jellyfish in a blender to make a smoothie sounds like the start of bad joke. In fact, it's one way to source ingredients for a new generation of solar power solutions that could aid medical science and offer cheap energy.

Scientists say by liquidizing the humble Aequorea victoria -- a glow-in-the-dark jellyfish commonly found off the western coast of North America -- they can use the green fluorescent protein (GFP) it contains to create miniature fuel cells.
